Where The Bond Actually Goes
Bail on a Los Angeles County arrest is set at booking from the county schedule, before a judge sees the case. That means a bond can be posted at any hour — but it has to be posted at the facility holding the defendant at that moment, not the one they were driven to first.
Posting before a county transfer keeps the release at the arresting agency's jail, which is almost always faster than a downtown discharge queue. Give us a full legal name and date of birth and we will confirm the location, the charge, and the amount before anything is signed.
